To transform the lives of those living with mental health challenges, substance use disorders, and homelessness by supporting their independence, promoting their housing stability, and empowering them to make positive changes in their lives.
About
Residential services include interim, and permanent supported housing for individuals with psychiatric disabilities. Specialized housing programs are available for individuals with secondary challenges including homelessness, and/or substance abuse. Additionally, clients of our residential programs have been trained and supported to staff a 'warm-line' to support other clients, and have participated in other community volunteer efforts. tlcs provides residential services to 177 people. tlcs residential clients are also eligible to participate in the tlcs clubhouse. The 'clubhouse' program was conceived in 2015 to support our clients to achieve their personal goals. Many of our clubhouse members have expressed an interest in entering or returning to gainful employment. Several are pursuing peer support certification, human services education or working with the department of rehabilitation or goodwill industries to obtain job skills and training. The clubhouse is open five days per week, six hours per day and offers a variety of work-ordered day activities as well as opportunities for social connectedness. The clubhouse has 288 active members.
