A Home Within's mission is to develop, support, and promote lasting, caring relationships for foster youth. A Home Within is a national organization dedicated to meeting the emotional and mental health needs of those affected by the foster care system. We envision a world in which every foster child has a consistent, caring relationship with at least one adult who understands the effects of early trauma and complex loss. Through our local Clinical Chapters across the country, we bring relationship-based psychotherapy to current and former foster youth at no charge and with no time limits; our organizing principle in providing this service has always been "One child, one therapist, for as long as it takes."
