Since opening in February 2016, Caring House has provided peace, comfort and support for men and women who are dying. Caring House helps families be families at the end of life. Caring House has five fully furnished and equipped private bedrooms and common areas for residents and families. Caring House is licensed to operate as a residential care facility for the elderly by the California Department of Social Services. The license is accompanied by authorization to serve up to six residents who are receiving hospice services at any time. To date, Caring House has provided services to more than 210 residents and families. The staff is comprised of a resident care manager and 7 full and part time caregivers and is supported by more than 40 volunteers. Caring House coordinates actively with many hospice and health care organizations in order to offer the services that it provides.
