  • Organize and two events where pku families can come together to meet other pku families, meet pku product suppliers, to share experiences and exchange ideas, learn about new medical foods and other products while raising money for pku research. more than 200 people attended our events.   • Conduct cooking demonstrations, picnics and other events to bring pku families together to learn about living with pku and the challenges of the very strict low protein diet required for people with pku and for those families to share ideas and experiences. more than 150 people attended our events.   • Purchase and gather supplies for newborns with pku to be given to their parents. these gifts contain information, equipment and supplies that parents will need to control the very strict low protein diet that their newborn must adhere to to keep from having severe brain damage. provide information and support to pku mothers-to-be to help them control their strict pku diet during pregnancy.   • Provide a grant to university hospitals to support the ohio pku camp where children with pku learn to handle their own dietary requirements from profesionals in a camp setting. Expenses $0.
  • Provide a grant to national pku news to be used to expand their food list for people with pku. this list is used by people with pku to calculate their daily intake of phenylalinine so that they can maintain proper blood phe levels and avoid severe brain damage. Expenses $0.
