The mission of the Union of Pan Asian Communities is to improve the general well being and education of the Asian, Pacific Islander and other ethnic communities of San Diego County. UPAC recognizes the diverse ethnic and cultural identities and strengths of these communities and their need for self-sufficiency. Programs focus on mental health counseling, community engagement and business development, addiction treatment & recovery, housing counseling, health promotion and cultural competency education.

ADULT AND OLDER ADULT MENTAL HEALTH - PROVIDE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES FOR ADULTS, OLDER ADULTS AND TRANSITION-AGED YOUTH (AGES 18-24) INCLUDING PREVENTION AND EARLY INTERVENTION, OUTREACH AND EDUCATION, CRISIS INTERVENTION, PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATION, INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP PSYCHOTHERAPY, CASE MANAGEMENT, MEDICATION MANAGEMENT AND SUPPORT EMPLOYMENT SERVICES. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED ON JUNE 30, 2019, WE SERVED APPROXIMATELY 6,400 CLIENTS WITH 22,860 VISITS.COMMUNITY WELLNESS CLINIC PROVIDES CULTURALLY SENSITIVE MENTAL HEALTH AND RECOVERY SERVICES FOR ADULTS LIVING WITH MENTAL HEALTH CHALLENGES. THE PROGRAM SERVES ADULTS, AGES 18 AND OLDER, WHO ARE LIVING IN ONE OF THE FOLLOWING ZIP CODES:92103, 92105 AND 92115.THE PROGRAM INCLUDES ENHANCED AND SPECIALIZED SERVICES FOR TRANSITIONAL AGE YOUTH(TAY) AGED 18-25, AND OLDER ADULTS AGED 60+. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED ON JUNE 30, 2019 WE SERVED 460 CLIENTS WITH 4,596 VISITS. IN THE PAST YEAR, COMMUNITY WELLNESS CLINIC ASSISTED 21 CLIENTS WITH FINDING STABLE EMPLOYMENT WITH 30% OF CLIENTS REPORTING IMPROVEMENTS IN EMPLOYMENT. 43% OF CLIENTS REPORTED IMPROVEMENT IN HOUSING, AND 30% OF CLIENTS REPORTED IMPROVEMENT AND PROGRESS TOWARDS OVERALL EDUCATIONAL GOALS. IN ADDITION, CWC PROGRAM CONNECTED 70 CLIENTS TO A MEDICAL HOME AND DISCHARGED 5 CLIENTS TO LOWER LEVELS OF CARE. 44.8% OF CLIENTS HAVE ALSO REPORTED IMPROVEMENTS IN OVERALL RECOVERY AND 68.3% OF CLIENTS HAVE REPORTED IMPROVED LEVELS OF MEANINGFUL LEVEL ACTIVITY. NEW LEAF RECOVERY CENTER PROVIDES CULTURALLY SENSITIVE SERVICES TO ADULTS FACING CHALLENGES RELATED TO CO-OCCURRING MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS. PROGRAM SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE TO ADULTS AGES 18 AND OLDER LIVING WITHIN THE COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES ENHANCED AND SPECIALIZED SERVICES FOR TRANSITIONAL AGE YOUTH (TAY) AGED 18-25, AND OLDER ADULTS AGED 60+. DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED ON JUNE 30, 2019, WE SERVED 229 CLIENTS WITH 29,173 VISITS.
