Mission

Encinitas Preservation Association is dedicated to preserving historic buildings and places that represent the rich core of historic culture in the city of Encinitas for the enjoyment of future generations

About

During the past year there has been an open house for the public to learn the history and view one of the boat houses and other historical residences in the community. There are six rental units. Four of the units rented are affordable housing units. The other two units, boat houses, are rented at fair market value with the intent of raising enough money to turn one of the boat house units into a museum. A museum is maintained at another Encinitas historical sight where visitors and residents can learn the history of the boat houses. One of the other projects for the current year has been to work on the preservation of the historic La Paloma Theater.
