CCLB CULTIVATED 387 TREES AT YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK FOR FIRE HABITAT REHABILITAION AND PLANTED 138 NEW TREES TO OFFSET GREENHOUSE GAS WITHIN LOW-INCOME LONG BEACH NEIGHBORHOODS. NEAR THE LOWER LA RIVER, OVER 9 MILES OF STREET LANDSCAPING WAS COMPLETED ON PEDESTRIAN-FRIENDLY STREETS AND OVER 12 ACRES OF NON-NATIVE VEGETATION GRUBBING COMPLETED ON NEARBY PARK LANDS. OPERATE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS WITH THE SUPPORT OF LONG BEACH UNIFIED SCHOOL DISCTRICT (APPROXIMATELY 367 SERVED). PROVIDE UNIQUE ENRICHMENT ACTIVITIES FOR HOMEWORK ASSISTANCE, TUTORING AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION WITH THE OVERALL GOAL OF BOOSTING ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE AND STUDENT WELL-BEING.
