The NorthWest Communities Development Corp mission statements is: Building a vibrant community in Independence, Missouri through advocacy and service. NWCDC operates The Fairmount Community Center which is located in a low income diversified community. NWCDC targets the senior population is who have limited income and resources in Northwest Independence. We strive to help seniors remain independent and socially active so they have an extended quality of life. Kid's Café offers free meals to kids and a variety of youth programs. Tabitha's Closet serves needy families with children (ages 1 to 18) in the Independence area. They are receive free clothing and shoes so the student will have adequate attire to attend school. Home Repair program for low-income home owners.
