Vacant to Vibrant Initiative- Successfully promoted Establishment of a problem properties docket in the courts to speed adjudication of housing issues - Coordinated an Affordable Housing Policy Task Group that generated 24 recommendations to the City a number of them supported by policy briefs. - Secured funding for and worked in partnership with the Habitat for Humanity to complete minor home repairs on 16 owner occupied homes for low income residents. - Partnered with Habitat for Humanity to implement Habitat's "Rock the Block" (Habitat volunteers completed minor home repairs on 5 homes on a UNI Demonstration Block - Engaged 110 participants in UNI's second UNI Tour of neighborhoods , highlighting the many positives in our neighborhoods - Revived Rehabbers Group (small rehabbers working in the urban core) attended by 18 rehabbers from 15 companies to promote affordable rehabs - Completed draft of the How to Start an Urban Farms Document in partnership with Cultivate KC - Launched new website that includes information on and resources to acquire and rehab Land Bank properties. - Established an Affordable Housing Policy Task Group in which 40 individuals/organizations participated. The task force generated 24 recommendations to the City a number of them supported by policy briefs. Twenty three of the recommendations were incorporated in KCMO's Housing Policy Recommendations.
