About

BEK Care, LLC, dba Ethos Home Care and Hospice began in 2014 to serve the Fargo-Moorhead area with quality home care services. Recognizing the additional need for hospice services in the area, Ethos began offering hospice services in 2018. Ethos Home Care and Hospice was recognized as a 501c3 nonprofit organization in July 2018. In Fiscal Year 2019, Ethos Home Care and Hospice served nearly 900 individuals. BEK Care was formed as a partnership among Bethany Retirement Living (Fargo, ND), Eventide Senior Living (Moorhead, MN), and Knute Nelson (Alexandria, MN). Each partner organization, on its own, is widely recognized for providing innovative services to aging adults throughout a continuum of care. Additionally, and most importantly, each partner possesses similar values and is committed to achieving the highest quality of care for their organizations to successfully accomplish their nonprofit missions. The goal of the Home Care program is to help individuals stay in their own home as long as possible. Home care helps individuals of any age with skilled nursing services, physical, speech and occupational therapies, IV therapy, wound care, home health aide, or assessment and management of their medical needs. Hospice cares for people with life-limiting illnesses utilizing a holistic approach, including medical, physical, emotional, social and spiritual care for patients and families. Hospice provides a wide range of services from skilled nursing, medication and pain management, home health aides, physical therapy, occupational therapy, social workers and Chaplain. Hospice is provided wherever the patient calls home--in their own homes, nursing facilities, or other housing locations. Bereavement services and follow-up care are also a part of the hospice program. Ethos Home Care and Hospice has approximately 40 staff and nearly 20 volunteers and serves a growing number of individuals with home care and hospice services. Their service area includes individuals living throughout a 35-mile radius in the Fargo-Moorhead area. Ethos Home Care and Hospice is an accredited home care and hospice agency with the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). Achieving accreditation is a process where healthcare organizations demonstrate compliance with national standards. This accomplishment reflects an organization's dedication and commitment to meeting standards that facilitate a higher level of performance and patient care.
