The Nanticoke Watershed Alliance completed a successful year of outreach and restoration in 2019. Major accomplishments were achieved in the following areas: Monitored 36 sites with 45 volunteers through the Nanticoke Creekwatchers Citizen Water Monitoring Program. Taught close to 1,000 7th grade students about water through in-classroom visits, field trips and action projects including murals and habitat restoration. Held over 4 workshops for homeowners on managing their properties in environmentally sensitive ways. Installed 7 residential stormwater BMPs to help improve habitat along the Nanticoke River and Fishing Bays.
