The Arlington Life Shelter provides emergency food and shelter and has a 12-week job readiness program that prepares families and individuals to return to self-sufficiency. Approximately 885 persons were served through 24,190 nights of service. The Agencys philosophy is that in order to regain self-sufficiency, one must have the ability to secure and maintain employment. Education and employment are the cornerstones of the agencys program which has a success rate of 75%. Children receive services they need to survive in their unpredictable world. Basic services are provided for the homeless requiring short-term assistance for relief from the elements during inclement weather.
