Programs conducted throughout the year including seminars, networking opportunities, contract sourcing exchanges, and workshops with the purpose of strengthening the capabilities of diverse business enterprises while increasing economic opportunities for them. Our major accomplishment was the continued launch of the Economic Empowerment Zone program in Escondido/San Marcos; South Bay and East County. We have established a local leadership team of small diverse businesses. This team is managing the implementation and coordination of our ongoing program in the Escondido/San Marcos zone. Establishing a management team to support each zone gives us the ability to meet our expansion plans into the other Economic Empowerment Zones. We have established local collaborations with Access Community Services, San Diego Youth Services, Regional Taskforce for Homeless and many other community based organizations that support underserved communities.
