Mission

Our mission is to unlock the power of higher education. Our goal is to promote awareness of student educational opportunities and to develop leadership skills that will have an impact on the community and local students. We direct programs that promote community cohesiveness, advocate on behalf of this population, and assess our impact on the entire community. Through these efforts, we aim at addressing the issue that economic factors should not be a reason that limits a student's higher education opportunities.

About

In 2017-2018, Youth 2 Leaders Education Foundation served over 3,500 Kern County students and their families. Through our Cash for College initiative, pre-college camps, Future Leaders Scholarship program, and other various community based efforts, we were able to promote and support higher education in Kern County. We worked to diminish or eliminate any barriers to higher education for local youth, especially those from the most disadvantaged backgrounds. In addition, students traveled to IVY league Schools thru the Ivy League Project partnership and experienced what life on these campuses entails.
