Mount Evans Home Health Services assists homebound individuals and their families with medical and supportive care regardless of their ability to pay. Home health services are provided through, home and community-based services and outpatient therapy for the underinsured and uninsured. In fiscal year 2018, we provided a total of 10,313 medical visits to 741 patients in our four county service area. Some were recuperating from an illness or injury, while others were coping with a chronic disease. Home health services preserve patient's quality of life by helping them remain in familiar surroundings with family members and friends. Patient's attitude and chances for recovery improve. Home health services support the patient's caregivers, reducing stress, depression, and illness due to the physical demands of full-time caregiving. Home health services reduce the need for unnecessary out-of-home placement in nursing homes or re-hospitalizations. Volunteers contributed significant amounts of time to Mount Evans' program services, administration, and fundraising and development activities.
