To help young adults with learning disabilities. The program serves men and women between the ages of 18 and 32. Each resident is taught basic skills of apartment living, social skills and finding full time employment. The program takes 2 to 4 years and the goal for each resident is: work full time for 1 year; become competent in apartment living skills and then move into the community to become an independent productive member of society. Since its inception in 1986, the program serves 15 to 25 residents at any given time. 80% to 90% of the residents are gainfully employed. The program meets ongoing training needs of these special clients in all of the above areas.
