When it comes to managing your donations, Daffy offers a great deal of flexibility and control. You can cancel or change your donation recommendation up until the donation is approved. Once the donation recommendation has been approved, the donation request cannot be changed. This allows you to make informed decisions about your charitable giving.
Contributions made to Daffy, a donor-advised fund, are irrevocable charitable donations, which is why they can qualify for an immediate tax deduction. However, Daffy understands that sometimes circumstances change. In the first hour after you schedule a contribution, you can cancel it directly in the app in the "Contributions" section and receive 100% of your contribution back.
For recurring donations, Daffy has made the process simple and straightforward. You can cancel a recurring donation by visiting the "Donations" tab on the Daffy app or website. Once you tap or click on the Donations tab, your recurring donation should appear at the top under "Upcoming Donations." On the web, it will display an option to cancel. On the app, you will have to tap the donation for the cancel option to appear.
Daffy also allows you to set a specific use for your donation that we pass along to the nonprofit, so the nonprofits know how you’d like your funds distributed. This feature allows you to have a direct impact on the initiatives you care about most.
With Daffy, you can make donations monthly, quarterly, or yearly. Plus, you can even schedule a donation ahead for any date. This flexibility makes Daffy a great option for a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF).
