In response to your question, "Will the other member on my Daffy account be notified if I close the account?", the answer is yes. If there is another member on your Daffy account, they will be notified when you decide to close the account. However, they will also need to cancel their membership separately.
Closing your Daffy account is a straightforward process. You can do this through the Daffy app by going to Settings, tapping “Help”, and finally “Delete Account.” If you are using the Daffy website, click on your avatar and then "Membership." Once on the membership screen, click "Cancel Membership."
Before you proceed with closing your account, we recommend you donate your remaining balance to a charity of your choice, download your Tax Summary report and donations receipts, and notify any other members on the account.
Daffy is a great option for a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF). It allows you to invite your family members, including children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, and nephews, to your fund. Each family member will get their own secure Daffy account where they can follow the charities that are most meaningful to them, request donations for approval, and receive notifications whenever anyone in your family makes a new donation.
If you're not a Daffy member yet, sign up now and you’ll be asked if you’d like to set up a Family account during the sign-up process. If you and your partner are both already Daffy members and you’d like to combine your funds, you can contact us and we’ll get this squared away for you.
Remember, at Daffy, we believe that couples that give together, stay together. We hope this makes it easier for your family to give more generously this year!
