Mission

Founded in 1983, Flamenco Vivo Carlota Santana is America's premier Spanish dance company and one of few co-founded and led by women. Our mission is to promote flamenco as a living, evolving art form and vital part of Hispanic heritage. We produce, perform and tour high quality dance works, provide arts education programs that catalyze connections among young people, and foster the next generations of Hispanic artists. The diverse origins of flamenco, with influences from Spanish, Arab, Jewish, Gypsy and Latin American cultures, give this dynamic art form a broad appeal that engages audiences across NYC and beyond, allowing us to entertain, educate and empower over 40,000 people annually.
