NAATCO's mission is to assert the presence and significance of Asian American theatre in the United States, demonstrating its vital contributions to the fabric of American culture. NAATCO puts into service its total commitment to Asian American theatre artists to more accurately represent onstage the multi and intercultural dynamics of our society. NAATCO is equally committed to Asian American theatre technicians and administrators. Through our practice, we demonstrate a rich tapestry of cultural difference bound by the American experience.

About

NAATCO condensed Shakespeares Henry VI, Parts 1 3 into two parts and presented them in repertory during the week and as marathons during the weekends from August 11 September 8, 2018. This production was the equivalent of presenting two full productions of two plays. The cast was composed of 16 Asian American actors playing close to 100 roles. Our assistant director, set designer, movement directors (3), producing assistant, video designer, postcard designer, production stage manager, and production interns (3) were all Asian American. The production was a New York Times Critics Pick, received Drama Desk nominations for Outstanding Revival of a Play and Outstanding Costume Design and Actors Equity Foundations St. Clair Bayfield Award for Best Supporting Role in a Shakespeare Play for Mia Katigbak.
