Our mission is to reduce the number of people without coverage for health care services.

About

Coverage/Care Management: Since 1995, the Portico coverage program has offered low-income, uninsured individuals who are ineligible for Minnesota health care programs coverage for primary and preventive care services, urgent and specialty clinic care, prescription medications, and interpreter services for medical appointments. The Portico coverage program also provides individualized care management services to all participants. In 2018, Portico leadership made the difficult decision to sunset the coverage program. The final day of the coverage program was September 30, 2018. In the months following, Portico's team of expert care managers worked one-on-one with clients to facilitate the transition into health systems' charity care programs, federally qualified health centers' reduced fee programs, and/or other community safety net options.
