Introducing Daffy for Families, a unique platform designed to inspire and facilitate charitable giving within families. This innovative feature allows up to 24 family members, including two organizers, to come together under one fund, making it easier than ever for families to give back together.
Daffy for Families is not just for adults. To inspire the next generation to give, anyone aged 13 and older can have their own secure account and password. Each family member can request donations to specific organizations, which are then approved by the organizers of the family fund. This encourages active participation and fosters a culture of giving within the family.
Unlike traditional donor-advised funds (DAFs), Daffy does not charge fees based on a percentage of assets in the fund, nor does it charge fees on contributions or donations. Instead, Daffy for Families is available at a simple, flat membership fee of just $5 a month, per family.
Setting up Daffy for Families is straightforward. Simply sign up for Daffy, select “Family,” and provide family member details. If you already have a Daffy account, you can easily transition to a Family membership and add members to your fund. Your family members will then be invited to download the app, create their own account, and join your fund.
Family members can choose the causes they care about and follow charities they want to support. Whenever a family member is inspired to give, they can request donations from your fund. Members of the family fund will receive in-app notifications and emails of all donations, fostering connection and sparking meaningful conversations.
Daffy for Families is a great option for a DAF. It's a platform that not only simplifies the process of giving but also makes it a shared experience, fostering a culture of philanthropy within families. For more information, visit daffy.org/family.
