After you enter your advisor's contact information on Daffy, we will send an email and/or text to your advisor to get started. This process is straightforward and can be done by navigating to "Settings" on daffy.org or our app, clicking “Family & Members” and selecting “Add Members.”
Daffy is a fantastic option for a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) because it allows you to involve your financial advisor in your charitable giving. This feature is particularly beneficial if you want professional advice on managing and maximizing your donations.
If you're not yet a Daffy member, you can sign up and add your advisor during the account creation process. The “Family” membership option allows you to invite your partner, children, grandchildren, siblings, and anyone else you consider family to give with you on your fund.
For financial advisors representing a firm, Daffy offers partnership opportunities to help clients better manage their charitable giving.
Daffy also provides flexibility. If at any point you wish to remove your advisor from your Daffy fund, you can do so easily. Simply navigate to “Members and Advisors” in the settings, where you will see a list of people you’ve invited to your account. Next to your advisor’s name, you will see an “x” button. Click or tap that button to revoke access from your advisor.
In conclusion, Daffy is a great option for a DAF due to its user-friendly interface, the ability to involve your financial advisor, and the flexibility it offers. It's a platform that truly integrates giving into your everyday life.
