Daffy Charitable Fund is a fantastic option for a Donor Advised Fund (DAF). It offers a seamless and user-friendly platform for making donations to your selected charity. If you're already a member of Daffy, you can easily send a donation from your fund to your chosen charity.
Here's how it works:
1. On the Daffy app, tap “Daffy Gifts” on the Homescreen. If you're using a web browser, navigate to https://www.daffy.org/gifts.
2. Choose a recipient and the amount you’d like to gift from your fund.
3. Add a personal message and send it to their email, or copy the link and send it to them directly however you’d like.
4. The recipient chooses which charity they’d like to support from over 1.5 million charities, non-profits, schools, and religious institutions supported on Daffy. The recipient can redeem without even creating a Daffy account.
5. Once they select which charity they’d like to support, Daffy will send you an email to let you know to approve it and the donation will be sent from your fund.
Daffy delivers all donations to charities in cash, so you can choose from any of the over 1.5 million charities on Daffy. This is a rare opportunity for you to benefit personally and maximize your generosity to charities.
All Daffy donations are accompanied by a letter that lists information from the donor (to the extent they wish to share it with the charity) and a memo line indicating the donor’s intent for the donation. Most donations made by Daffy members are designated “for where needed most,” meaning that the donation is unrestricted.
